I’m sold on my Blackberry. I’ll never go back to a “regular” cell phone. But not everybody feels the same way. Some people don’t like holding “a brick” up to their head, some people don’t want the QWERTY keyboard, and others just like the feel of a flip phone against their head.
Every real estate agent should be able to see the benefit of being able to check your email anywhere. With most email services available today, you don’t need a Blackberry or a smartphone to check your email.

I found this blog whilest trolling for more info on the Downtown Parking Garage Gate. (I need a short history lesson on why “Gate” MUST follow the name of a scandal to legitimize it as a real scandal. After Watergate, didn’t we go a good 20-something years without a “Gate” until “Whitewatergate”?)
It’s a Memphis-centric blog looking at the city through an architectural lens. Mr. (or Miss? Mrs?) Gates gets a little snarky sometimes, but it’s an educational kind of snark.

Late mortgage payments shot up to a 3 1/2-year high in the final quarter of last year and new foreclosures surged to record levels as borrowers with tarnished credit histories had trouble keeping up with monthly payments.
The latest snapshot of the mortgage market stoked Wall Street investors’ worries about troubles facing “subprime” lenders who make loans to people with poor credit. The Dow Jones industrials tumbled 242.66 points.
The percentage of mortgages that started the foreclosure process in the final quarter of last year rose to 0.54 percent, a record high. The previous high, 0.50 percent, occurred in the second quarter of 2002 as the economy was recovering from the blows of the 2001 recession.
